I'm trying to get into the habit of reading a bit more. It's actually quite easy because there is nothing left on telly that I want to watch and the frequency and length of advert breaks on Sky just makes me angry.
I've got a bit of a thing for Kathy Reichs books, so I've just finished
Monday Mourning which was really good. What I didn't realise until recently is that her books (or at least the character) have been made into a TV series:
Bones. I caught a bit of it the other evening, I thought it was rubbish. The trouble is that it seems to be a dumbed-down version of the books, style over substance and all that.
The next book on my list (and I'm half way through) is
A spot of bother by Mark Haddon, I enjoyed
The curious incident of the dog in the night-time, this one is pretty entertaining too. It has that combination of being pretty easy to read and having short chapters, that makes it hard to put down.
