I've recently moved from one project in Rugby to a new project in Milton Keynes, this is good news for me because MK is a quite a bit closer to home, and easier to get to. The office is right in the centre of MK too, so a lunchtime stroll around the shopping centre is de rigueur at the moment (I'm trying to avoid Burger King and Quiznos though).
I'm actually enjoying working here every day, I've never really been a big MK fan to be honest but as a place to work it's shaping up to be pretty good. I suppose a lot of it has to do with the office I'm in; it's not owned by the big company I'm working for, so rather than being a very large portacabin it's a fairly new managed office building which we share with a few other companies (smallish "new media" types by the look of 'em).
As traffic around here can be a pain, and parking a bit of a bun fight, I'm thinking of driving some of the way and cycling the remainder. I'm thinking that dumping the car around 5-6 miles away would be a pretty decent idea. Updates on this soon.
In other news: I'm going to take a week off from my "proper job" soon, I shall spend this time driving a truck in my "other job". This should generate enough spare cash to fund flights at the end of August so that we can get to the in-laws in Spain for some (much needed) R&R.
