Well, it went ok. I suspect that I could disappear of the face of the Earth for a whole year and still come back to exactly the same issues/problems as the day I left.
I didn't mention that going back to work also marked the start of my campain to "Get fit and sort my life out". I'm not one for diets (you would probably guess that if you saw me!) but I know what I should and should not be eating (you do too, don't you?) so it's time to make changes.
I think that with a bit of will-power and some hard work I can shift a couple of spare stones in a reasonable amount of time. The trick is to start eating sensibly right now and then add as much exercise into my day as I possibly can.
Today I have consumed:
- Some rice pudding (Breakfast)
- Half a mango* (Breakfast)
- Two wholemeal rolls with turkey and cottage cheese (Lunch)
- Two small Apples (lunch)
- A stir-fry (in olive oil) type thing with noodles (Dinner)
- Enough water to fill a small lake
That's not a bad start, might take a walk to the park before it gets dark too.
I'll keep you posted (bet you can't wait for that eh?)
*Mangos are a fucking waste of time, I mean how are you supposed to eat them? I assumed you could run a knife around them and end up with two halfs, it just doesn't work... I hacked it about with a big knife before getting fed up with it and going to work, hence only eating half of it. I didn't like it much either...
