Postings here have been a little sparse lately, no reason for that really besides a general lack of enthusiasm and opportunity to post.
Despite not getting round to posting on this Blog, I have kept up the daily (and often more frequent) routine of reading other blogs and sites of interest (to me...).
Meg has returned, this is really good news! Go over and have a nose around.
I got a year older at the start of the month, 28 years old now. I don't feel much different (why would I?) but I have developed a set of eyebrows that any old git would be proud of, honestly, in the last couple of months they have started to get bushy and there are also a few hairs appearing that are about twice as long as the others! I think a little trim is in order, either that or I could buy some hair gel and make a feature of them, punk stylee.
In other news; I had something of a health scare the other day. While visiting the "little boys room" at work I noticed that my wee had a lot of blood in it, so much that it was a pinky/red colour, it was all a bit unnerving. I did what any geek would do, I rushed back to my desk and consulted Google about it... After about half an hour I had it pinned down to either; Kidney Stones, Cancer (most likely of the Kidneys or Bladder), Tumour (again probably bladder) or some kind of Urinary Tract Infection. None of them appealed to me in the slightest, so it was with some relief that one of the sites highlighted the fact that eating a lot of beetroot can cause these symptoms! While not normally being much of a beetroot fan, I did eat a lot of it earlier in the day while trying to finish off an impulse buy I made at the weekend... I had no idea!
I wonder if there are other foods that can change the colour of your wee? I'm thinking of gathering some friends for a Urinal based tribute to the
Red Arrows.
