Woo! I've just ordered myself a new car!
My current company car (Diesel Focus War-horse) was due to be changed ages ago now and it's taken months and months for the company to decide who pays for a new one. I think the problem stems from working for the parent company but being seconded to a smaller division in the wilderness. Anyway, the order is placed and the good news is that the vehicle is in stock at the leasing company, so I should get it next week!

I've spent months visiting the showrooms of pretty much every car manufacturer, I eventually had a shortlist of:

Mercedes C180 Classic
Skoda Octavia vRS Turbo
Audi A4 Tdi
BMW 320d
VW Passat Sport

I've chosen the Passat because it really is excellent value for money compared with the others (except the Skoda), I need a fair bit of room too because you can't take a toddler anywhere without a boot load of accessories! So, the Passat Sport Tdi fits the bill, it's got everything I need (plus a 6 speed gearbox?!) and it should be fast and economical.

I can't wait!
