The only problem with having a busy weekend is that time seems to go even quicker, I can't believe that three days have passed since I was last sat in this office pretending to be working.
The wedding was very nice, I think everyone had a really good time. The choice of
venue for the reception was also excellent, the food was great and there was generally a very relaxing feel to the place, it was a shame to leave on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to spend the night sleeping in a bed, as I suspected, my alcohol induced snoring meant I was relegated to the bathroom floor. I still managed to get a pretty good nights sleep and woke up feeling fairly refreshed.
We stopped off in Stratford on the way home, I really like it there because as it's a tourist attraction there is always plenty to do. We visited the
Butterfly Farm which was nice but a little too hot and humid to be comfortable when you have a hangover (these tropical environments do tend to be a little warm!).
Yesterday we went to
West Midlands Safari Park, unfortunately so did everyone else. The place was absolutely packed and that spoiled it a bit. We still had a good time, Georgia was pretty impressed with some of the animals, especially the ones that stuck their heads inside the car. Next time we'll go in the week when the schools are back. Bank holidays are not the time to visit tourist attractions.
