We went to the first day of the PC World sale on Boxing Day, we were even there shortly after 7am which is something of a miracle to be honest. We did OK, we walked away with a new laptop and a wireless router for just a little over £400.

It's good to be able to access the internet at home again and wifi is great, I should have sorted that out ages ago. The best thing is that the laptop belongs to us, so I can install whatever I want on it (and look at porn, obviously).

When I started my new job I gave up driving the lorries at the weekends, the larger salary means that we don't "need" the cash and having a fuel card also frees up a good few hundred quid each month.

Having (most of) the weekends off is pretty good, tomorrow will see a visit to the cinema (Alvin and the chipmunks, I think) followed by a small shopping trip to by some new lights for my bike... 1st of January approaches and the renewed will to shed some pounds is strong!
