I took the new bike for a proper ride today, all went well and it was a pleasure to ride, it should be even better when I'm a little fitter!

I loaded the bike into the car and drove to Boars Hill in Oxford, from there I travelled through Bayworth and Sunningwell and then through Abingdon to my brothers place in South Abingdon (to pay for the bike!). I called in to see my parents on the way back through North Abingdon and then took a slightly different route back through Sunningwell and up to Boars Hill again.

I had a good time, made good progress, but struggled up a couple of the larger hills... I need more practice in order to become fitter.

Off out for a small family ride tonight too!
