I'm trying to get myself a little more organised at the moment, I'm not going to try
too hard because I thrive on the added pressure that being a little disorganised brings to the party. I find that if I have something important to attend (big meeting for example) I perform much better if I haven't prepared for it, it's all about focus... I find it hard to concentrate unless I really am forced to.
Anyway, for a few weeks now I have been using Google Calendar and it's excellent, simple interface and easy to access wherever I might be.
The next stage is to sort out getting the current Mrs Turner to check my calendar and maybe add stuff to it so that I'll remember more stuff. I have my doubts about this because of an incident this week...
...I was camping at my normal spot when she rang to ask exactly where the tent was pitched in relation to the static caravans on site. I was a little taken aback by this and for a moment I thought she might be doing a surprise visit.
I explained exactly where I was (I was actually pitched on a Heli-pad!) and she said that she could see the helicopter but couldn't see my car...
I was pretty confused by all this, as you can imagine. It turns out that she had fired up Google Earth on the laptop at home and (probably because of me raving about it all the time) had assumed it was some sort of live feed from a satellite you could control! She was expecting me to be able to step out of the tent and give her a wave!
Some people get technology, some people take a while...
