I had a flyer in the post today for the new Daihatsu Terios, I like the look of that! It's a good idea to produce a 4x4 that is compact, economical and uses interior space well, plus it's a Toyota* engine I expect so it'll be very reliable. Proper 4x4 system with a difflock too...

If I han't already ordered something I might be looking at one of those.

*Daihatsu is at least part owned by Toyota, been going for almost 100 years .
