I've been enjoying getting out on my bike again recently, what I really want to do is increase my fitness level so that I can buy a proper Mountain Bike and then hit some decent trails somewhere. My brother has a very nice new
Marin and I know he would be up for a day in the hills but he is a million times fitter (and slimmer) than me and I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with him.
I'm trying to get around 8 miles riding done most nights at the moment, using my old faithful Mountain Bike (picture coming to Flickr soon), it's odd to think that there was a time when I was cycling 18 miles each day on it by choice. If I can keep the effort up for a few months I reckon I'll be ready to get muddy in earnest, in the meantime I'll make do with reading
