I haven't read an autobiography for some time now (James Dyson was the last) but I really want to read
Rules of Engagement by Tim Collins. The fact that the whole war in Iraq has been so divisive is one of the reasons I want to read it; I'd like to understand how it feels to go to war on behalf of your country but not (necessarily) population of it.
The other reason I'd like to read it is because it was Colonel Tim Collins who made
that speech, I thought it was sensitive but at the same time appropriate when addressing 800 men about to go into battle. Motivation and strong leadership are easy buzz words we hear in our air-conditioned offices but I'm sure the battlefield is one of the places where they actually mean something.
