You know those hotel rooms where you open the door with a credit card type of thing and then you have to put the card in a receptacle on the wall for the power to the room to be switched on? They are a right pain aren't they? The problem is that when you get in to a dark hotel room it's really hard to find the slot to put the card in, if only they would illuminate them.

I usually try to prop the door open until I have found the slot, but today my room is on a busy corridor and it wasn't completely dark in the room so I tried to find it in the gloom. I scrabbled around for ages using the light from my phone screen (we've all done that, right?) until I tried the light-switch on the off chance... That's right, this room doesn't have that system!
