In the office I worked in today I overheard one of the guys say to the boss:
"Paul just 'phoned; he's not coming in today, he's bad in bed"
I assume this is a dialect thing, I would probably have put it:
"Paul just 'phoned; he's not coming in today, he's in bed ill"
To my soft southern ear it might as well have been:
"Paul just 'phoned; he's not coming in today, he's an inconsiderate lover"
