On Monday I had to do a bit of work in Stockport, I've been there a couple of times in the past with other people but I wasn't feeling particularly confident that I could find the office on my own if I drove there. It seemed like a good idea to catch the train up there, I wasn't in a big hurry so I caught the 8.15am and, after a couple of changes, arrived at 11.30am. I could have driven there in a whole lot less time, but I got to read on the way (was hoping to work, but all the seats around tables were taken already...) so it's wasn't all bad.
Later in the day I did some work in the Crewe office, leaving for home at about 4.30pm, I arrived home at 10.10pm each of the three trains I took was delayed due to speed restrictions... It took over five and a half hours to get home, did the same journey by car tonight and it took one hour fifty! Train cost £38 diesel today would have been less than £15.

So, I'm due back in Crewe tomorrow at 9am, can you guess which mode of transport I'll be using?
