Driver exposes speed camera error

Mr Haskins said he thought it was likely other drivers had been wrongly penalised.

He said many people would not know they could check it themselves, as the fixed penalty notices did not make it clear that it was possible to obtain the film from the camera.

More than not making it clear, if I remember correctly the fixed penalty notice specifically states that photographs will only be supplied as evidence in court and are not available on request (it doesn't mention this rule not applying to deputy mayors...)
