Motorway drivers listen up!
If I'm in Lane Three (or "The Fast Lane") and I'm doing less than the maximum permitted Motorway speed, then the chances are I'm waiting (at a respectful and safe distance) for the car(s) in front of me to move over so I can accelerate past them. Driving two foot from my rear bumper won't make me move over for you, overtaking me on the inside will make me want to track you down and do something unpleasant to you. If the road in front of me is clear I will be in Lane One and if the conditions are right, I'll probably be going faster than you are anyway.
That is all.
