Well, I think I might just be starting to feel the Christmas feeling creeping in, not bad for 6pm Christmas eve I suppose!
I'm looking forward to having some time off in the coming days, I've been pretty busy for months and I'm looking forward to just kicking back for a while*.
I'm not due back at the day job until 2n
d Jan (might work from home then though!) and I have no work planned in the other job either (although if something comes up this week I might have a crack at it).
Yesterday I started work at 4am and I was in Cardiff before sunrise, it was a long drive when you can only go 56 mph but the actual work wasn't too demanding. When I got back to the depot and started refueling the truck, disaster struck! The coupling on the pipe from the fuel pump broke and the pump (like you get on a forecourt) dispensed gallons of diesel all over me and the surrounding area... it took me a moment or two to come to my senses and realise what was happening, even longer to figure out what to do! I eventually found an isolator switch and turned the power off, there was fuel everywhere by that time though.
The worst thing about it all is that I was covered in diesel and I washed my clothes along with other normal laundry,
everything now smells of diesel and I'm not Mr Popular around here.
