	Monday, November 27, 2006 I've now got my very own wireless network at work, it's great! Everyone else has to make do with their corporate machines and I have internet access that isn't limited or monitored by anyone, it's ace! The only problem is that I can't access the network from my desk. I'm on the next floor up from the comms room (where the router is) but I'm right above it and this building is a porta-cabin thing. My solution so far is to move to an empty desk downstairs (a window seat!) but what I really need to do is get my DSL line patched through to one of the phone sockets on my floor. It's great to be able to finally start catching up on podcasts again... - Steve, 11:53 AM, Tuesday, November 21, 2006 So, The Mailbox carpark in Birmingham is the best place to park in Britain. I used to park there everyday when I worked in the office building next to it, it's pretty good but "almost like a nightclub"? - Steve, 10:15 AM, I've had a BT Business Broadband line installed in my office recently, it should be activated tomorrow. This is good news because it's been a right pain having to do all my work on a slow GPRS connection. I'm also getting a wireless router and 250 minutes of BT Openzone access per month, it's quite pricey at almost Â£800 but well worth it (especially as someone else is paying). Elsewhere things are all coming together, work isreasonablyy busy and about to get mega busy (a good thing) and at home cash-flow seems to be improving. I'm still picking up some extra work at the weekends, this is really handy and will be even better once the money it generates is "spare" (couple of weeks). This weekend I drove a truck of frozen stuff to Bluewater Shopping Centre, when I got there the display said that it was -23 centigrade in the back... so I did what I believe you are supposed to do and climbed in the back wearing T shirt and Combats to see just how cold that is, my verdict: Chilly. - Steve, 9:55 AM, Thursday, November 09, 2006 Still keeping pretty busy; haven't had a day off for weeks now but I think the time is coming where I might be able to ease off a little bit. I still have 5 days of holiday left to take before the end of the year, I think the week before Christmas is looking like a good option. I have been wondering if it might be a good idea to spend those 5 days working in the other job in order to get paid twice, it's tempting but what do I need more: Cash or a rest? (probably cash). So, last weekend I was out driving the bread lorry again. Saturday was a load of little villages around Milton Keynes/Bedford and Sunday was down to Southampton, Lymington and Poole, not fun in a truck that is limited to 56mph. In other news; I think I have decided once and for all that I want to leave the day job and try my hand at something else. I just need a large dose of courage in order to do something about it. - Steve, 9:04 AM,
